FASTING CONCERNS
If you have health conditions that make it difficult to fast, then we ask that you do what you are able to do. Here are a few suggestions:
FAST ONE MEAL OF THE DAY
Spend this time in prayer.
FAST FROM SOLID FOOD
You can still have juice, soup, and other liquids.
FAST FROM SUGAR
Eliminate desserts and coffee from your day.
FAST FROM A NEGATIVE THOUGHT OR BEHAVIOR
When you are tempted into a negative thought or behavior, spend that time in prayer instead.
FAST ON THE 31st
There are only 7 months that have 31 days.
GOD'S PROMISES
FAST AND PRAY TOGETHER
God has promised to answer our prayer when we pray with two or more people. Therefore it is important to spend time with at least one other person.
Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18;19-20
GOD HEARS OUR PRAYERS
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Psalm 55:17
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:6,7
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I John 5:14,15
WE MUST PRAY IN FAITH
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Matthew 21:22
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:23
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:24
WE NEED DILIGENCE IN PRAYER
And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:1
Pray without ceasing.
I Thessalonians 5:17
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

WE MUST CLEAN OUR HEART
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
